![]() The month began with Danielle and I taking a trip to Vancouver (see pictures right here)! After the delightful trip west, we returned to Regina where I continued my Hula Hoop training The international championships are in two months...and I am far from ready!
The middle of the month was consumed by the project known as 'Collabor8'. For those of you who don't know, or who avoid the rest of this page for various personal reasons, Collabor8 was a screening of eight short films made by eight of us 'film friends'...
The premiere went off without a hitch on June 18th at the Royal Sask. Museum. They had a new projector and sound system installed (I believe) so things looked and sounded quite good. The feedback was positive (from what I heard). All in all, it was a worthwhile experience, if only to see the diverse films people would make given all the same tools and timelines. I was impressed!
After the premiere we went out to O'Hanlons. That night we had TWO things to celebrate since June 18th is also the birthday of one Adrian Dean! We danced the night away. Well, some of us did. Happy '21' brother! Enjoy it whilst you can!
Later that decade (aka month) Alison took drastic action. Jealous over various sibling premieres, she unveiled her photography show at the Exchange. The collection showcases photos she has taken over the last few years of her friends. They are quite impressive and probably still up at the Exchange. Check 'em out. And buy one! Hey...university doesn't pay for itself!
And lastly but not leastly I would like to send a shout out to Emersen, who is very busy lately but who we all hope and pray will finish the Collabor8 DVD sometime this month (don't make me get Alden after you)! And speaking of Alden, give him this message for me... Sanchez called and he says he can offer Alden a sweet deal on a XL3 if he's interested. Just send him your credit card number on "E-Bhay".
That's it for now. Expect more pics coming soon, unless the webpage crashes again. Thanks to everyone who helped out on this update and thanks to Scotty B. and his weekly updates for inspiring me to do more than just post pictures. Peace Y'all! |
